The demand for the laddu prasadam of Goddess Kanaka Durga during Dasara celebrations at the Indrakeeladri shrine in Vijayawada is increasing every year. The authorities are working hard to ensure an adequate supply of the sweet. The laddu, made of chickpea flour, sugar syrup, cashew nuts, and cardamom powder, has gained popularity in the past seven years. Additionally, the temple authorities are selling laddu as prasadam due to its longer shelf life compared to other offerings like pulihora. The making process is monitored by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
