Siddaramaiah banks on booze to fund guarantee schemes

Tipplers will have to pay more for their favourite drink as Siddaramaiah chose to rely on tax on liquor to ramp up funds for the government’s guarantee schemes. He has proposed an additional excise duty (AED) hike on both Indian made liquor (IML) and beer.​
