1000-yr-old statue depicting self-sacrifice found in TN city

A 1,000-year-old ‘Arikandam’, a statue installed in the memory of a man who took his own life through decapitation to redeem a vow made to goddess Kali, has been found near Cholapuram in Sivaganga district.
