Should Govt make EV battery swapping mandatory?

A battery swapping format in an EV allows the user to replace discharged batteries with freshly charged units from swap stations in a matter of minutes and reduces downtime considerably. While it makes sense for applications such as e-rickshaws and small electric CLVs, is it the best solution and should it be made mandatory? Let’s take a look at the pros and cons.
