Centre hikes wheat MSP by Rs 110, mustard by Rs 400

In a cheer for farmers, the Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved minimum support price (MSP) of Rabi crops for the 2023-24 marketing season, increasing the support price of wheat by Rs 110 per quintal (from Rs 2015 in 2022-23 to Rs 2125 in 2023-24).The decision to increase the MSPs (minimum support prices) was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
