False marriage pledge not cheating, loan default is: Karnataka HC

Going back on the promise of marriage will not amount to cheating, but obtaining loan and not repaying it constitutes criminal intention to cheat, attracting Section 420 of the IPC, the high court observed in a recent judgment.
