India reports over 1.1L new Covid cases; Omicron tally at 3,007

India on Friday reported 1,17,100 new Covid-19 cases, highest since early June, while the active cases rose to 3,71,363, according to the Union health ministry data. There are 3,007 Omicron cases in India with 23 states reporting the new Covid-19 strain. Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state with 876 cases followed by Delhi, which has 465 infections.
